What Are You Thankful For This Year?

Everyone is running off to visit family, sitting on a beach, or enjoying unseasonably warm weather right here in NYC.

I hope you’re not trying to ski!

But I do hope you’re getting a break to take it all in, wherever you are.
Those of us who get to live in New York City are among the luckiest in the world.

This is an absolutely perfect moment in time in NYC – a building boom, with interesting ideas, architecture, and most important of all, people.

All you have to do is look around.

I do, every day.

I am in awe of the amazing clients I have the honor of working with.

Thank you!
Additionally, I am humbled to work at Brown Harris Stevens.

You would be hard pressed to find a more well thought of company, or a better group of professionals from the bottom up.

Excellence, professionalism, and expertise.

I am proud to be a part of this firm and happy for all of the value that it brings to my clients.
So, as 2015 comes to a close, I hope you’ll indulge me in a moment of giving thanks.
Here are a few things that I am thankful for, in no particular order.

My Improved Hips.

I write about running often, and am thrilled beyond words to get to be out running again after double hip surgery.

I knew I wasn’t perfect, but this was a humbling reminder.

What a joy to be out running, especially with this extended warm weather.

Rehab is even more fun with 60-degree December!
Another thank you, publicly, to Dr. Bryan Kelly and his staff at the Hospital for Special Surgery for getting me back on the road – they are a perfect example of

how a great team should operate.

They bring wisdom, perspective, and a sense of humor to what they do.

Every level of their organization is fantastic.

I had never had surgery of any kind before from the neck down.

As I run longer and longer distances again, I continue to be in awe of the quality of their work.

An Amazing

Physical Therapy Team

Rarely do I get to publicly thank Jason Gromelski at Nola Physical Therapy, but here we are.

Jason not only quickly diagnosed my hip issues, but brings massive positivity to his work.

His entire staff

is tireless and quite funny.

Even someone as motivated as I am needs a good cheerleader.

My Gorgeous Kids and Wife

So many of you are parents, so you’ll understand why I’m so thrilled to have these smiling faces greet me every night.

They are my inspiration.

Millie is 7 & Elizabeth just turned 5!

My wife Sara is incredible – the best sale I ever closed was convincing her to marry me.

My

Terrific Team

For those of you work who’ve worked with me, you know how amazing my team is.

Elaine Lawrence and Ari Meridy have been

awesome and critical to our success.

Thank you!

My team extends to my designers, architects, contractors, attorneys, mortgage brokers, bankers and rental specialists.

And whether we are working with buyers or sellers, my other teammates are excited for 2016.

You.

Thank you for being such a pleasure to work with.

You are brilliant, you are kind, you are creative, you are energetic, you are fun, you are serious, you are seriously good at what you do.

You are seriously good at trusting me and my team to let us do what we do to help you meet your goals.

Thank you!
I look forward to seeing you, celebrating with you, and sharing lots of great things with you in 2016.
I can’t wait to get your referrals and help some new people in the New Year.
To a successful, happy, and healthy 2016
– Scott
