A Musical Aside

I have decided that beginning in 2019, and obviously a hair sooner, I want to start writing a bit more about things unrelated to real estate.

Or maybe they will be related.

We shall see.

I’ve been writing about running for years; I hope that it’s inspired to get people out and exploring the myriad neighborhoods and places of New York City.
My love for running is in many ways born out of loving to see and experience the world.

And my love of music came from wanting to share my experience of the world with others, through my gifts as a singer.

My guitar playing served to help me share my music, while my vocal talents brought me and many others a lot of joy through performing across the country, or just at a campfire near you…
Running is easier to maintain as a father of three, a passion for music less so.

At least it had been until this summer, which you can read about here.
Over the summer, I helped launch a musical program called Jewish Star, which encourages teens and young adults to explore their vocal and songwriting talents through a contest not unlike “The Voice,” specifically for Jewish Music!

The contest, which launched October 15th, is getting some attention in the Jewish World (read here).

This is all in conjunction with a terrific online radio station called Jewish Rock Radio, which you can listen to here.

I’ve had a ball helping to bring this to life.

If I can help kids to discover their own passions and bring them into the world, I’ll be delighted.

It’s inspiring work!
Perhaps you have people in your world who should know about this.

Email me at sharris@bhsusa.com. Or, if you know talented people who should audition, click here to make sure they know about Jewish Star.

Thank you!
